Description Summary

We are currently seeking an Account Manager. Reporting to our Director of Account Management, this individual would be responsible for account management, developing and maintaining strong customer (account) relations. The Account Manager responsibilities will include Customer Relationship Management and Operations, and Leadership and Teamwork responsibilities included below:

Customer Relationship Management

  • Develop strong relationships with assigned ProspX customers to protect ongoing revenue stream and identify new business opportunities in strategic accounts
  • Provide support to the sales team during critical times in the sales cycle by:
    • Articulating value to potential customers through strong understanding of product knowledge, how other customers are using the system and identified common and best practices
    • Presenting business case and value proposition to C-level executives, and showing how specific attributes of the system can support that value proposition
    • Garnering support from Sales management and at the individual producer level
  • Ensuring support of business champions to allocate necessary IT resources, for launch and throughout the life of the relationship
  • Develop relationship with client IT resources as required
  • Identify customer needs for additional ProspX features, functions, and services

Customer Execution Functions

  • Oversee all ProspX launch activities in critical 45-90 day customer transition period to lay foundation for ongoing success by:
    • Coordinating all aspects of the roll-out plan
    • Managing deployment of implementation, training, support, and Personal Assistant resources
    • Monitor and measure performance of above
    • Provide detailed project management plan
  • Assist with data assessment and quality sessions with customers, prior to first use, making sure the customer is going to get the value out of the system and training execution
  • Contribute to customer retention and satisfaction by managing expectations
  • Drive adoption across all customer offices
  • Monitor all aspects of customer use by communicating issues and drive towards rapid resolution
  • Monitor success metrics and communicate ROI
  • Participate in the development and refinement of agency/broker best practices documents
  • Participate in the development and refinement of partner (carrier) best practices development and collaboration
  • Monitor customers use of the system and be able to summarize and document key utilization characteristics into dashboards for Customer Liaison; visit customer at least monthly to review periodic status dashboards
  • Define and execute on periodic (e.g. quarterly) utilization reviews with customers using dashboards

People Responsibilities for ProspX team

  • Provide performance feedback of the Director of Account Management
  • Assess performance of all members of the customer facing team; assist with the development of action items for improvement
  • Be the “voice of the customer” for all internal meetings

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • 5+ years of experience in account management or business development/ role in one of the following industries: consulting, software, insurance, or insurance services company
  • Project management experience for wide-scale software launches
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
  • Management presence and command skills
  • Previous project management experience leading teams of 5 or more
  • Extensive use of Microsoft Office products
  • Past experience with database concepts and ability to teach others these concepts
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Visio
  • Team-oriented

  • Full-Time Exempt
  • Bachelors Degree required/MBA preferred
  • Ability to travel 50-80%as needed
